I rarely start something that I know out of the gate is destined to be short-lived. It's a period of time that I want to document in some fashion and I've been feeling nostalgic about LiveJournal, so here we go.

20 years ago, LiveJournal was part of my DNA. I met a lot of great people on this website that made me feel comfortable enough to start peeling back the layers and openly sharing my life. I miss this vulnerability. Social media definitely doesn't bring the same pleasure that journaling here did.
While there doesn't seem to be a lot of people using this site these days, I'll have to make the effort to find them. I'll get creative with the tags I use. I'll explore communities of interest. Hopefully someone who I have something in common with will surface. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
