Before 5:22 pm I was just in the computer when my boyfriend told me he wanted to go to this event in the University. At first I was reluctant to go but then I was convinced since most of the time I reject any opportunity to go out. I'm very lazy.
I was waiting for him in my frontyard so I took it as an opportunity to play with my camera and see how the lenses work on it.
This was a funny experiment made with my cellphone and my Lensbaby. I liked the result which gave me an idea for a photo.
Still waiting for my boyfriend.
After a couple of minutes we proceeded to go to the University. To get there we have to cross the border and to get there quickly we ride our bikes.
I quickly went to the cafeteria to buy some salad. I was so hungry I didn't take a picture. When I was done with it I took photos of everyone there. There wasn't a lot of people at the event.
Suddenly this band started to play and the lead singer sucked big, big time. I was so surprised and experienced a little bit of second-hand embarrassment.
Look at those shocked faces, I'm not kidding.
We went to listen to the other kids playing. They weren't bad but they weren't good either.
My boyfriend grabbed the camera and captured by lack of excitement.
Tried to show some emotion.
He was got bored and I did too so I took photos of him (nothing new actually)
He grabbed the camera again. What's curious about my boyfriend when he photographs me is that most of the time I hate the way I look, but I think he did a good job today.
This guy was next. He was funny and talented imo. He reminded me a little to Zach Galifianiakis whom I love because he is extremely funny! Anyone who knows me knows this about me. At this point there wasn't many people in front of his stage; I think it was just two people, my boyfriend, and I. We felt so bad because he deserved more audience.
He played original songs and he was very good but the organisers made the stupid mistake of putting two stages with no more than 50 meters of distance. Seriously, whoever organized the event is an idiot.
A friend of mine came to ask us a question about our History final and left this flower with us. Of course we had to be silly.
More silliness.
It was very pretty.
When our guy ended, the new band was preparing for their presentation. We weren't very interested but these girls were. The grabbed chairs and placed them right in front the stage.
It was time for my boyfriend to have something to eat. He bought two pizzas for himself but of course I had one half.
This is his face of excitement.
We finished eating and went out to see the other bands but they. Kids making screamo and cheap "hard rock" or whatever that is to be honest. I guess I'm too old to appreciate that kind of sound.
We went to get our bikes to go back to México.
On our way to the bridge I was showing my boyfriend how I could drive my bike while moving the pedals in the opposite direction. He tried to do it too but he did it so fast he made the chain got loose.
While he was trying to fix it I went over the resaca because the sky looked beautiful and since the new camera has great performance under low light conditions I wanted to test it. Look at that beautiful sky!
I came back and he was still struggling but he solved it quickly after I took this pic.
Showing disappointment for not being able to pedal backwards.
Hats on and we were ready to go back.
I didn't take more photos after this because they were from our way back and when I got home we directly went to play with my puppy Midna. And so this is it! This was just a small update. Tomorrow I'll be going to a tianguis (a market) and then to a church celebration to which my boyfriend and I were invited by a very dear friend. My boyfriend is an atheist and I'm an agnostic atheist but it's been a while since we've seen our friend, plus, the celebration sounds like fun, I'll probably get a chance to take a lot of photos
