(no subject)
hey guys, so i'm still too tired to post, i'm sorry... but i'm safe, healthy and reasonably happy, so that's all ya'll interested parties have got to know.. actually no that's a lie, and i miss y'all and am thinking about y'all!
speaking of "y'all," I found a plaque in the Arab market yesterday that said "shalom y'all."
as a quick overview, i have hebrew 5 hours a day, the rest of the day i'm either trudging through insane heat to our from campus, sleeping, doing homework, socializing, or occasionally going out (mostly to the bar which is in Building 2, and I live in building 5.)
on Shabbat (the weekends here are thursday afternoon-saturday night) I sleep a lot. Also I went to Ramallah, Palestine on Sunday. It was pretty noneventful, it's a nice city, the people are nice. It was my first time ever being a minority, both in gender and in ethnicity. Conclusion- Ramallah is a nice city, aka ir nchmad.
Okay... sleep time, Ulpan at 830!! oh and this weekend i'm HOPEFULLY going backpackng in the Golan Heights. Like hardcore 110 degree heat sleeping in the open air backpacking. we're hiking up into the mountains and then back down and ending at the dead sea.
