i just think it's incredible, y'know?
i mean imagine your home burning down and losing everything you own.
(this happened to me years ago, btw.)
would you be smiling so joyously soon after?
he lost his guitar (which is the love of his life)
all his photos of friends, family, his road life.
all of his sketches, small paintings, etc.
not to mention all his clothing, his entire pack, etc..

and here he is soon after - so filled with joy and Love and so Present.

it blows me away...

When everything else falls away, there is always love. And hope.

...and that's exactly it! no one can steal your
most precious possession of all - Love! :))

yes, his sleeping bag was taken but he has since replaced that.
and only that. he doesn't want anything else right now.
not even clothes or a new pack.
a kind of mysterious thing happens when you're on the
streets and i've seen it many times with my own eyes.
the things you truly need at that moment come.
he himself has had this happen often and has complete faith
it will happen again. the other interesting thing is he seems
(now) actually happy to be so free of 'stuff' and is in no
hurry to replace anything except his guitar and you see
how that is what showed up immediately.
he's really one of the special kids and so often has
blown me away with his gratitude and wisdom.
a heart-son for sure.

thanks so much for asking! :)
