this post turns epic somewhere past "Most Importantly"

Just popping in to say a) I leave for LA today (kinda) so like yeah the people I'm going to see have computers and I may even use them, I am totally mostly in LA for vacation. I doubt I'll be blogging. Check my twitter though, for constant almost obsessive iPhone updates! http://twitter.com/jeannebopp

MOST IMPORTANTLY
B) What a Catch, Donnie is winning my life forever. LIKE SERIOUSLY YOU GUYS! AHHHHH I don't give a crap about the album being pushed and I agree that putting it out on election day wasn't the smartest of moves. I think this is a good thing. IMHO. MOSTLY though this song is winning my life. It's like...."Hey we're Fall Out Boy and this is where we are and this is where we've been and you've been there too. This is our music. This is what we do."

I'm so impossibly impressed with this song and I think it's because of it's heart. It's not just another pop-rock top 40 hit, it showcases their abilities to assemble a piece of music that to me is about the fans. About the folks who are buying track by track from iTunes and the people who went to small shows in smaller clubs where fall out boy was the opening opening opening act and picked up a teeshirt or a EP or whatever it was at the time. People who got into this whole mess of "emo" music because their friend loved FOB and Pete Wentz told her to buy Panic At the Disco's AFYCSO and so she asked you to and you did and you loved it and then you would always be listening to Take This to Your Grave and From Under the Cork Tree and you loved it even if you didn't admit it because you got through high school not just on Britney Spears and Back Street Boys but also on Blink 182 and Jimmy Eat World. And you pre-ordered the deluxe edition of Infinity on High and then you started going to shows and now you're flying to LA to visit your friends and the best time you can think of is going to see The Academy Is, We the Kings, And Hey Monday.

....this song is for everyone. And it means the world. Even if he's a celebrity who I explained to my boss as "that guy who married Ashlee Simpson" he still loves his fans. This band doesn't take any one of us for granted. I know my words don't mean much, but I hope that means something to someone one day.

I can't wait to get this album, even if I have to wait another year. They will deliver and it will be worth it.

Jesus I did not plan for this post to be this epic. MUST dash and catch the bus since for my first day of vacation I'm going to work! wooooooT!
