Just got a news update on my next giant project.
Seems the group that would inherit the system I'll be designing, to replace the giant costly unwieldy behemoth that they currently have, don't like the golden stallion I have documented in the project proposal.
Grandboss's response: Fuck 'em, we'll manage it all in-house.
So, I don't have to integrate with Nexus, or Remedy. And a department's refusal to step into the future has obsoleted a department.
I feel a little bad about that last part, but it's hard to feel too bad when you present something with astronomically huge cost savings with no decrease in functionality, and huge improvements in workflow.. and they say, "No thanks."
