I randomly got offered $100/show to spin fire with the Cabiri today by the guy who owns them and coincidentally is one of the grad-students I'm working with in the lab. And a few weeks ago, I got an email asking for my address because a theater company in Palo Alto wants to use a play I wrote in high school and they're sending me $50 for that. And I'm getting hella discount tickets and hook ups to be a clown at a huge electronic music festival this weekend (www.photosynthesisfestival.com). I don't even make an effort to put myself out there artistically and yet I'm starting to really feel like my art is my job and school is my hobby...it's kinda fuckin awesome.
