Trying a new thing here... anyway, here's my year in photos.
March:
We went to Las Vegas. Fun, but expensive. Also a very different vacation from our honeymoon in a few ways. For one thing, we didn't have as much cash to spend. We mostly focused on eating. :) For another, on the honeymoon there was a feeling that we didn't want to spoil anything by arguing, so there was a lot of, "okay, we'll do that if you want to, darling." This trip was a bit more... realistic. :)
May
Got a job... which I still enjoy. It's resulted in publication on the web and a few newspapers as well! This is the year I discovered that I really am good at this stuff!
August:
Our first anniversary! Married life is very strange sometimes... but it's "awesome" too, to quote Britney Spears. I think she meant it in the colloquial sense but I mean it in the dictionary way: "inspiring awe." I could go on but at that point I might as well write him a love letter and leave you poor suffering readers out of it!
October:
We found a kitty... I was feeling pretty down when she showed up, and even though she wasn't with us too long it was nice to have her. We took her to the Humane Society and later I found out that it might not have been the best place b/c ours puts down animals who have been there for a bit. So hopefully her owners claimed her or someone adopted her, but I still wonder...
Well, I'd put more but... maybe later. I could also do a Christmas entry but I am still processing it. (The word "processed" should speak volumes...)
So here's a photo for my New Year's Resolutions:
1) Wear makeup more! Good for my self-esteem and I don't look half-bad in it either.
2) This relates also to my decision to take care of myself better. I am a physical wreck right now and it's all my fault.
3) This includes eating better.
4) Read the Bible each day. Even if it is only a single verse before I turn out the light. I have neglected my spiritual life and that is not helping anything mentally or physically for me.
I hope everyone's past year has been good enough to remember, and if not then may you forget it ever occurred.
Just so you know, I pray for you guys a lot when I read your entries, (even those I don't know outside of the series of tubes internet) so don't think that you are simply throwing words into the abyss. Happy New Year.
