Question for you all...

When you receive greeting cards - holiday or otherwise - what do you do with them? Tell me - do you display, do you save, how long for either or neither? What comes next? Does it go in the trash or do you do something creative with them? I want to know!

Typically I display, usually in my room. If I'm at home, sometimes I'll hang a bunch of religious Christmas cards along the railing leading upstairs. Afterward I'll recycle most of them, saving ones that might have sentimental value that in five years I'll end up recycling anyway having never looked at them since.

Thanks, M. We have mounds of greeting cards, so I'm looking for ideas for what to do with them, since I don't think either of us will be tossing (trash or recycle) them, and I don't have the initiative to be crafty. :)

I'm not the most creative person in the world. Do you have a room in your house, a spare room or an office or something, that you could use an entire wall as a sort of memorial of all the greeting cards you've received over the years. Sort of a greeting card tribute to loved ones?

We're both pretty particular about wall ornamentation, so while that might be good for some, maybe not for us. Thanks though!

The best I have come up with is a photo album stuffed with cards. The albums would live on the shelves, and the cards will take up less boxed up space.

Yeah, I'm all for tacky wall decorations :-P Of course, that goes along with not actually being a homeowner, so I always end up viewing everything as temporary decoration.
