It's funny cuz we all went from xanga and livejournal where everyone would post multiple paragraphs to facebook and myspace and twitter where people just post sentences. Sad really. No one posts what they are really thinking anymore, and more just posting what they think people want to hear. It is more of a fight to have as many friends as possible and to be "popular" than it is to have true friends whom you actually WANT to see posts from.

Is this the dumbing down of the masses?
Does anyone even care anymore?

Everything seems so accessible now. You can chat, email, see what people are doing at any part during the day. When i had facebook i always felt obligated to talk to people, and if i didn't, i always felt some sense of guilt. Now that i de-activated it, i am free of all of that. If anyone really feels like asking me how i'm doing, they can text or call.

But that's also the funny thing. They aren't really my friends. They are facebook friends. They only talk if they are bored or if i send them something first. So what's the point? Why should i feel obligated to talk to these people? They don't care.
