Day Two of Eight

This morning Lena walked me to the subway station near her apartment. I took the subway to Penn station and then took the Long Island Train to Great Neck (Chris #2's hometown). He picked me up from the train station and then we stopped by a bagel shop and then he had to take a conference call for work. Then we got down to business! I told him I wanted to see the Atlantic Ocean, and said "Oh, it's behind my house." He took me to the boat dock and we stood on it and looked at the beautiful Long Island Sound. Then we played on the playground of the park and ate his whitefish bagel on the benches (I tried something new and liked it! For people that really know me... they know that's amazing).

He also showed me the library and the swamp and then we went to a huge mall where I made fun of ugly clothes and we shopped. After the mall, we went to Jones Beach (I touched the Atlantic finally!) and drew pictures in the sand. I am embarrassingly bad at drawing anything. After the beach, we went to dinner at this fancy Japanese restaurant where this 50-year-old woman wouldn't stop talking to me in the restroom about eyeliner (!!!) and her birthday. The food was delicious. Then we went to watch "Knocked Up" (go see it) and then to Flushing for boba. :) After that, I made him take me to buy pads because I ran out... hahaha. He was a good sport. And since I told him that I liked lights, we broke in to a park and walked down the pier to another boating dock so I could see all the bridges lit up. It was past 4 am by the time we were done. Yay for an amazing day!

Day Three of Eight

Slept ALL DAY. It was effing sweet. Went out for sushi with Lena, her roommate Kameron, her friend Tara, and Chris #2 who came back with me to Manhattan. Then Chris #2 and I met up with Nicole and walked around trying to decide on a place to eat. Ran into Karen and her boyfriend on the street. Random! I love it. We ended up back to the same sushi place for round two. Arden arrived in NYC today and joined us at the end of dinner, and then I called Chris #4 who told us to come down to his NYU dorm. Called Lena to show us the way so the five of us met Chris #4 at his dorm then went in search of a bar that would let in underagers. Chris #4 and Arden are 21, but the rest of us are not. Finally found one that didn't card called "Space" where we drank yogurt flavored soju and then went to a place on St. Marks for more food and beer. Back home now at 3 am. :) Fun day.

Lena and I on the street outside sushi. We were definitely not ready for a picture.
