Moving
So, we're all moved in to our new apartment. It's actually more of a townhouse, considering it has 2 floors, and is only connected to other apartments on either side. I love knowing there's no one above us clomping around, and no one below us for us to disturb. It feels a lot more like a grown-up house, and I like that.
The only bad thing is that it's a lot smaller than our old place. The old place was nice and big and had lots of closet space, but it was also uncomfortable and sometimes noisy. The new place has only one closet, which is behind the television unit, so it's not the most accessible storage.
We've been going through our stuff as we unpack and deciding what stays and what goes. It's a good excuse to get rid of a lot of junk that we both brought into the marriage, and never got rid of because we hid it all away in the closets. I didn't even know we had a lot of this stuff.
I've always said that if we get rid of the things we don't like now, we won't be carting it all around from house to house for the next 5 years. Until we buy a house the reality is that we're probably going to be moving fairly regularly, so the less junk the better.
So, here's hoping that it all fits in the end. I'll let you know how it goes.
