Application

I should not have been required to go through the strenuous task of application. It was a waste of my valuable time.

» Name: BLU Medic
» Fandom: Team Fortress 2
» Reference: http://tf2wiki.net/wiki/Medic
» Canon Point: Doesn't apply; he's been with the team for quite a while now
» Gender: Male
» Age: early 40's
» Orientation:

Sex for Medic is a revolting yet unfortunately necessary pasttime. The potential for disease and illness and impregnation of women make it a curse to his profession, but he'll engage in it when his body requires it... he is human, after all (sadly). He'll engage in it, but he certainly won't enjoy it!
There is little evidence in TF2 as to any of the character's orientations bar the few sexy female pinups scattered throughout the bases. Due to the common in-game sight of a Medic accompanying a Heavy on the battlefield due to Heavy's slow and powerful nature, as well as humorously named in-game achievements (if a Sniper manages to target a Heavy/Medic pair he can win the 'Beaux and Arrows' achievement) their apparently 'close' relationship is often made fun of.

Because of his pragmatic nature, little care for his partners, conception of the body as something to be operated on rather than made love to, and distaste for sex in general, I would suggest that Medic would engage in sex with partners of both sexes if he was forced to. A body is a body, and he is only excited by one when it's lying on the operating table waiting for his knife. Understandably, in the '60's, this is not exactly a socially acceptable practise, but Medic isn't exactly a socially acceptable person. That he doesn't actually have a medical degree hints to his disregard for convention, so little things like social mores aren't about to put him off!
At the end of the day, there's only one person he prefers to have sex with. Himself. Tidy, efficient, and no chance of revolting diseases.

» Personality:
Medic is uptight, unsympathetic and unconventional. His official bio says that he was born in Stuttgart, Germany, and the fact that he has no medical license doesn't stop him from practicing. This would suggest that during the time of the Second World War, Medic would have been at university, presumably learning the tools of the trade. Little is said of him after that; for the purposes of roleplay, I propose that Medic would have been forced to leave Germany during this time, abandoning his medical degree and harboring a grudge towards the Nazi forces that prevented him from becoming a 'real' doctor. Parts of the Nazi doctrine would have appealed to him, certainly; striving for excellence, the cultivation of fit and healthy bodies, deference to the elites, one of whom he's sure he is. Sadly, nobody else shared this view, and his refusal to exhibit the proper submission to his elders had him falling out terribly with the Hitler Youth (of which attendance was compulsory for young males from 1938). Medic was a highly intelligent child, with a determination to rise the ranks to achieve the elite title of Doctor far before he was able; elitism and superiority were not traits appreciated by the Hitler Youth, the organisation demanding strict obedience and the elimination of status among its junior members.

Young Medic couldn't understand why he was relegated to studying with these idiots! How did one become an elite if they weren't allowed to stand out? Why could nobody appreciate genius when they saw it? Increasingly punishing beatings weren't enough to beat it out of him, and it didn't take long for him to realise he was in danger, that the system wasn't valuing his idea of excellence but bullying and fascism, and that he should leave before he was done in for disobedience.

Medic's interactions with the characters in-game hint to this superiority complex. He constantly berates his companions for not doing their jobs properly. In-game, playing Medic can often be a frustrating experience as many players demand healing at once, or leave Medic unprotected, or fail to respond properly when targeted for an Ubercharge, a period of invulnerability that Medic is able to discharge using his healing gun. When playing, it's easy to identify with Medic, exclaiming dummkopfs! or berating the other players... do I have to do everyzing myself?!

BLU is a perfect environment for him. He has access to all the quivering flesh he wants, ready for his needles and knives. Oh, he keeps his team healthy, in the peak of physical condition, in fact, and he takes great pride in it... he just has little sympathy for any complaints that come his way.
He's a doctor, he knows what's best!

Licence? Why do you need to see a licence? Are you questioning me? Do you not think I know what I am doing?!?!

» Appearance:

Images of Medic can be found here: http://tf2wiki.net/wiki/Medic
Medic is a tall, fair-skinned, lean man with dark brown hair that is greying at the edges. His round spectacles are forever perched on the edge of his impressive nose, and he takes great delight in looking scathingly at his patients from behind them. His tailored lab coat is always in pristine condition (when it's not covered in blood). He might be considered quite handsome if his mouth wasn't permanently twisted into a sneer or a frown of dissatisfaction.

[Medic is sitting primly on his bed, having set his camera up on a nearby table. He looks distinctly uncomfortable, still seething that he has apparently had a sexual experience without his own permission.]

Hallo? Greetings, I am BLU team's Medic, and I demand to know where I am. I haff been transported here against my will! I have been kidnapped! I am enraged and appalled by zhis unexpected turn of events!

I vant it known that I know nozzing. Zhere is not point in taking me, as I haff not read any of ze latest intelligence. You would be best advised to return me to my original state, although I must thank whoever did zhis for the provision of creme caramel at breakfast, it was most delicious.

Regardless! Zhis is most unacceptable. Return me at once, or suffer the consequences... unless, of course, you enjoy open heart surgery without ze anesthesia. Auf Wiederhören!

When Medic wakes, his first thought is that he doesn't like the decor... Rococo was such a ridiculous period.
The second is that something terribly debauched has happened. He's naked, wearing nothing but his tie. He never sleeps naked, and he never sleeps in a tie, and he never... wets the bed. "Wets" the bed. While he's sleeping. There is a truly disgusting feeling between his thighs, and it is most concerning that he doesn't recall how on earth it happened. Had he been kidnapped? And why did his kidnappers have such a terrible taste in fresco?

He sits bolt upright, instinctively patting to the right in search of his glasses- aah, they've been conveniently placed on the table by his side. As he puts them on, he has better vision of where he is... what appears to be a ostentatiously decorated hotel room, a warm morning breeze wafting in through the open windows. Well, that's nice enough, but it doesn't explain where he is, or how he got there. Was it a dream? He had experienced highly realistic dreams before, like that time someone (not him!) hadn't closed off the canister on his special operating gas. Had he left BLU? Unlikely. Had he gotten himself drunk at a company picnic and engaged himself intimately with another? Ridiculous. He never drank himself to intoxication, and that one time he had wasn't his fault (it was Heavy's). Additionally, he'd never engage in intimate relations with a potentially diseased person he'd never met. And if he did, he certainly wouldn't keep his tie on! Or take the rest of his clothes off!

No, something suspicious was going on here. He suspected RED had a hand in it... after all, the emotional and reckless REDs would go for over-the-top and tacky decor like this (their bases were always done over in unneccessarily warm tones and touches). Ridiculous Emotional Dummkopfs, that's what RED stands for. As his eyes land on his clothes folded neatly at the end of his bed, he wonders; would RED be so accomodating? And... ah, they certainly wouldn't have left him his Medigun.

Or... perhaps they would, it's the only tool in his arsenal he can't defend himself with. How infuriating! Someone was going to have to answer to him, and quick smart. As soon as he was dressed.
