Dear Yuletide (& etc) Writers,
In general, I love plotty fic and unexpected twists. While I'm equally fond of gen or ship fic, my favourite stories tend to involve a lot of tension, sexual or otherwise (though the UST is my favourite). I love a really good depressing fic and a happy, lighthearted fic equally. What I like best are surprises, though. Multiple layers are fun but entirely optional; I'd rather you write something you enjoy. Actually, feel free to alter my requests to make something you'd enjoy. As long as it stays true to the spirit of the request, I'd rather you had a great time writing it than I get exactly what I ask for.
And AU is always, always an option. :D
Following are some explanation and furthering of prompts, in case you need clarification/ideas. You don't necessarily have to take it under consideration, though I'm sure I'd like you oo.

Captain Britain & MI-13 -- I debated whether or not to toss Faiza in the mix, and eventually settled on going for an easier request, but if you want to include her, I'd love it. I'd love some good nostalgia going on. While I've not read any Brian/Meggan/Pete before (there's really not much British Marvel fic out there) I think it's an avenue that bears exploring, especially now. Meggan I imagine would be more than a little surprised to find her husband and Pete Wisdom, who formerly hated each other or at least could not get along (except in House of M), suddenly the best of friends. I'd just like to see what you can do with this.

It'd be nice to see the difference in their dynamic since their Excalibur days. Maybe they go on a mission, maybe they have dinner and reminisce - I'm not picky what they do, really. Gen or any combination of the above is great! Throwing in cameos of the other characters - or members of Excalibur! - would make my life.
Havemercy -- Back when the fandom was newly-minted and just stretching its pairing legs, I got abducted onto the Ivory/Raphael train. There were two of us. As far as I know, I'm the only person who's written the ship. I would really love this pairing to show up in the background. Again, circumstances (gen, slash, UST like crazy) are up for grabs (though I always adore UST like crazy, as I said above). The characters I specified are the ones I'd most like to see, but please feel free to include whoever else you like, or cut whoever out you need to. Though I might be a little sad if you did.

Perhaps expand upon one of the things mentioned during the roleplaying scene - involving any of the Airmen. Gen, slash, or het is fine. I'd honestly just like to see something pre-book, taking place in Thremedon. Action, suspense, and intrigue are wonderful.
Marvel Adventures -- I almost switched this out for something Daredevil. That said, you don't need to, but if you included Daredevil (and/or Iron Fist) in the fic, my love would burn with the passion of a hundred trillion Yule logs. And if you so happen to include Iron Fist, have Luke Cage somewhere in there, would you? But as for plot, really. Uh. Anything goes. I really cannot get enough of a happy Marvel Universe. I think the original prompt is fairly straightforward. Feel free to ignore this if it muddies your otherwise clear understanding of it.

Things that would rock my jingle bells: lighthearted happy-ending parallels of Marvel Universe events, ensemble stories, cameos of other characters (Iron Fist and Daredevil or the X-Men would be favourite), a little bit of drama to keep it exciting.
Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead -- This prompt would work really well with some clever double metaphors. Hint, hint. Not necessary, but. I loved both the play and the movie and Hamlet too, but I guess I'd be more interested in fic that took the characters further away from the Shakespeare and further into the abstract. Or into their own world. Your choice. "It was all a dream" is a good place to start, if you're down on ideas.

I am really yearning for some heartbreaking existential slash here -- whether in the context of a scene in the movie or play, or before or after. Using one of the scientific almost-discoveries as done in the movie would make me very happy indeed.

In general, I love cameos and plot. No need to play nice with this one. If you kick me in the nuts with blatant references to DCU canon (or parallels, or painful things of your own creation) I'll probably like it. I love seeing Booster suffer. I love Ted's horrible fashion sense. I love "Bwa-ha-ha!" I also love the Dibnys, and Ralph and Booster's surprisingly (or perhaps not so surprisingly) similar attitudes toward Sue and Ted respectively.
An Earthshattering Holiday
All I really ask is please to not be dissin' on other characters or 'Star's current haircut. Neither option has to show up, but I happen to like them both. On the other hand, if you want to include some guest stars (no pun intended I assure you), the more the merrier! Also, I really love mutant politics (especially post-M-Day), so if you can work that in somehow, or something similar... well, I'd love that.
