1. comment with any character you know I've written.
2. receive three bits of trivia about their sexuality: practices, preferences, experiences, fantasies, kinks, etc.
3. Profit!

So I've had two X-Men movie marathons in the space of a week, and I got my xmmficathon assignment, and basically events have conspired to say "You've got subfandom!" (Previously my ( Read more... )

(NaNo canon)

Evan isn't sure what his sexuality is, because he hasn't been attracted to too many people. He had a girl before the war, and he thinks he loved her, but he can't remember it too vividly. He's very sexually confident because really, people are just like clockwork, and once you know how they fit together it's very easy to make the pieces work. Julian was not his first time.

I love Evan, and I can just imagine him being rather a smooth operator <3 Now I want to know about Julian. I love those boys.

Evan is totally a smooth operator. Well maybe I could tell you about Julian. Maybe. I know you do, and that's awesome, because so do I and I will continue to write about them. 8D

yeah, there's a little bit of a difference there.

I have an idea! Write me happyfic!

I could make it work, I think, if I felt really dedicated.

To counteract the sadfic you wrote me? I think I will.

I have faith that you could. But would it be worthwhile?

Yes, precisely! DO IT. 8D

Are you implying that some puns are anything less than worthwhile?

Brb, searching your archives for any and all mention of them

Perish the thought! I am simply stating that your time would be better used in, say, writing happy!fic.

there really isn't that much er um.

Happy!fic? What an utterly random and unrelated suggestion for you to make. I'm not sure what made you think of it.

Yes but I need to see what there is because I don't remember enough about Julian

Evan is making a clock on commission. He's been making the clock for the last two weeks, and he only stops when Julian makes him or he passes out across his desk. Twice a day, three times if he's really persuasive and really lucky, he can pry Evan away from the desk. He pulls the clockmaker to the kitchen counter and stands over him while he eats. If he eats. Some days it's a cup of tea with more sugar than he's used to, and then back to the desk ( ... )

In two days, when a man carrying something wrapped in black cloth comes to the door, Julian answers it. He shakes the man by the hand and notices he's missing his pinkie. And then, because Julian is a magician, when all's said and done, he makes a knife appear in his hand, hey-presto, closes the front door, and body-checks the customer into Evan's front hall closet ( ... )

SMOKE YOU'RE A GENIUS

no but you have to post this or I will post it for you. This is exactly the sort of thing that goes on in that universe. And it's brilliant. And you got Julian so well, and I love it, and you win.

...drawers. I'M MATURE.

oh god but his magician's trick and the bubbly stage voice. I cannot even begin to express my love for you.

Aww thanks, reward me by writing more of them. UM I MIGHT POST IT EVENTUALLY OR SOMETHING? I'm glad I got things right, though.

Lol I wrote the sentence, what does that say about me?

I think for both of them, their jobs are a massive part of who they are. Evan is always a clockmaker and Julian is always a magician in a way that they could never be anything else.
