OMG Remix!
I don't know if anyone remembers that weird cyberpunk-y Star Trek XI fic I wrote around this time last summer, Pipe Dreams (and other things you'd rather forget about in the morning).
Well, some amazing anon remixed it -- or as they put it, megamixed it. They took my very enigmatic story and ran a completely different direction with it than I had intended, but the result is heartbreakingly delicious and a little bit creepy. Pipe Dreams (The Marzipan In Your Pie Plate Megamix) is very much worth the read, and I'm not just saying that because it's my remix. I was absolutely floored. It's gen, as was my fic, and clever, and understated and thought through and utterly perfect.
More recs to follow once I have perused the archive further!
Edited to say: If anyone manages to guess which remix is mine, there will be a prize! (Probably not fanart, as my desktop is still out of commission, but fic is a go.)
