This is a call for help. The situation is dire. Does anyone know of any decent Sam Guthrie/Roberto DaCosta fic? Any Dani Moonstar/Shan (Karma) fic? Illyana Rasputin/Dani Moonstar? Illyana Rasputin/Kitty Pryde? Emma Frost/Kitty Pryde?

Emma/Kitty makes my head explode, although I could get behind Karma/Dani or Sam/Roberto.

To be honest, it sort of makes my head explode. I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY I WANT IT. I just do.

But I'd rather read Karma/Dani or Sam/Roberto.

I guess for the same reason someone would want to read Kirk/Khan in Star Trek fandom? I don't really know. But I lost all respect for Cyclops when he began banging Emma and I gained a lot of respect for Kitty when she pointed out everything wrong with it.

I could easily get behind those other pairings in theory, and Sam/Roberto in practice.

Oh, yeah, in canon I don't appreciate it at all. I don't understand how she managed it, I have no idea what Scott was thinking. I was completely unsurprised when she joined Norman Osborne.

I would've thought there'd be more Sam/Roberto out there, all things considered. I've found one fic, and it wasn't even by someone who liked the pairing.

The entire Dark X-Men storyline became a cop out, between the ending of the story where Emma recants and then the overblown secret confession. She nauseates me; her relationship with Scott nauseates me. Scott was supposedly under direction from his dead wife to sleep with Emma to prevent THE APOCALYPSE, although what would have made him cheat in the first place...Thanks Grant Morrison for that lovely parting shot. And thank you Matt Fraction, worst X-Men writer I've yet seen.

...how do you write a story about a pairing you don't like? I can't conceive of it. If I were a writer, I'd whip you up one.
