Rice: Iran Letter Doesn't Resolve Standoff
explain this to me
an iranian president sends a direct communication to an american president for the first time in over 25 years
and we're treating it like nothings new
i'm not saying that anything substancial is in the letter
but honestly,
the focus here should be the positive
the willingness to communicate was a symbolic gesture
and if we ignore it or pretend it doesnt mean anything
we're just adding millions to the anti-western bandwagon
ooo
and something tickled me inside
"White House press secretary Scott McClellan said Bush had been briefed on the letter."
Briefed?
He cannot read it by himself?
He cannot draw his own conclusions about the letter on his own?
ha
