well well well I'm off to Cuba! To visit with my dad my uncle who lives in Havana. I...thought I ought to say. also I'm reading Midnight's Children. it is wonderful! and I wrote a song, well bits of a song, I never write songs these days, I'm very proud of myself, and I recorded this weird static piece made up of two lots of funnily toned natural guitar harmonics with one slowed down, with selective echo, one lot of 5 semitone tuned down guitar only played on the bottom two strings (fascinating pitch indeterminacy/instability due to extreme string bending!) and one lot of the same with echo (last two separated left/right channels...I'm lazy light that). I was pleased because normally I'm too fixated by movement and metre to pay a lot of attention to timbre. then again, listening to Acoustic Ladyland, I can see why....mmmmm.
