d'oh!
i was paying more attention to the puppy at my feet than the dog at the end of my leash - when he took off after a bird and yanked the leash right out of my hand - aagh!
so i had to scoop little bit' up and run after him, in my sweater shoes (which are a lot like slippers for the outdoors) i couldn't get to him fast enough, so i flipped my shoe at him (it's foam and yarn, he'd have been fine if i'd actually managed to hit him) but horribly out of practice, my shoe went sailing over him and into my neighbor's fenced in yard. oooops!
erm.... 'scuse me, my shoe is in your back yard, mind if i retrieve it?
i was going to go over there at five and ask if i could get it back - but then it rained and rained and rained some more - so my shoe is definitely ruined.
i can only imagine what my neighbor will think upon finding the soggy footwear in her backyard.
and i feel bad about littering... ? oi
