well, it was a semi-eventful weekend, I guess.
the main update is about Lurky. Left work early on Friday to take him to the vet, most likely to be put to sleep. Sad, but true. He looked barely alive when we got him to the vet.
And he was barely alive. He appears to have had a blockage in his unrinary tract. Had we been later, he would have been a dead cat, but they unblocked him and now have him being monitored. he looked better on Saturday, even getting up and wanting to come home with us. They say he hasn't eaten yet, but that he is otherwise looking better and might be home today or tomorrow.
So that is good news
the bad news is that taking care of him used up money that we needed for utilities. I need to call electric company and see if they will let me pay a little later. they have before, so I am hopeful, but it is annoying that I was getting caught up until this. Expensive darn cat. I am happy that the vet is letting us do payments or else we (or Lurky) would have been more screwed.
had a quiet weekend otherwise. Almost finished the latest hat I am making. it is just for me, and it is possibly the geekiest thing a person can make into a hat. I doubt I will find occasions to wear it. Which is a shame, because other than a seam that is driving me nuts, I am very proud of how it is coming out. I will need ot see what happens once it is finished, but so far, so good.
Now I just need to figure out why when I am close to finishing a big project, I drag my feet at the very end. I only have maybe 30 minutes of work left, after working on this for days, and yet I had to force myself to start finishing it. You have no idea how many almost finished projects I have around the house. drives me nuts.
my main computer broke down. I turned it off to reset it, and now it wont turn back on. This sucks because there is alot of important information in there that I really need to get to. I just set up a new email account at yahoo to use for work and stuff, because I can't recall the log-in information for my master e-mail account. I think it is the fan...the fan that is all secured in the metal box (I never learn the names of things...I just point and go 'that thing' alot)...which I am fairly positive is the most problematic (and expensive) fan to have a problem with. And if I am wondering about money to pay for electricity, well, I definitely don't need to be spending money on fixing the computer. I think I can pull off enough information from other sources to get by until I figure out how to get it up and running again....so much for updating the iPod any time soon.
well, I hope that you all are having a great day.
