I am 18 years old and fucked up. Not extraordinarily fucked up - I’m nothing special - but I recognize it for what it is. I don't think any of this is irrelevant banter; I can identify, and indeed, relate to the feeling that you're trying to shape and express with your words. All of your ideas are related; namely, the observation that many people on this earth get caught up in the day-to-day, and don't take the time to examine themselves for and/or follow their self-appointed purpose in life. In essence, they lead bland existences, when they really could have wanted or been so much more. And you don't want to follow in those same footsteps. To try and avoid that path, you're making yourself aware of this idea consciously, and trying to find the cause of its pervasiveness, so you can escape it yourself, and really "live ( ... )

It's true. There really can't be an extreme - because then you are letting something control your life. You lose your sense of choice, outside of the fact that you chose to live that life.
