It's been more than a month now since I've been off Zoloft and a few significant things have happened:
- The brain zaps were noticeable for the first 2 weeks and lessened to the point where I've not noticed anything within the last 5 days
- My comprehension of routine things have been challenged - I burst into tears at a take out restaurant because I couldn't understand what the waitress was asking me. I've never ever cried in public like that!
- I have been battling a rash / hive situation on my lower extremities that started the day after my birthday...
The rash / hive thing is the overriding issue that I'm facing now. It started with a few spots randomly on my legs - they'd get really red and warm and angry, and then subside. Then a new patch would occur. This went on for a month before I finally decided to go to a walk-in clinic when the latest bout was too much to bear. The doctor at the walk-in clinic had no idea and referred me to a dermatologist. I just went to see the dermatologist on Monday and he thinks I'm reacting strongly to being BIT... possibly by BED BUGS?!! The utterance of that made me feel SICK. I asked why B wasn't affected and he said that it's possible he was bitten but didn't react to the bites. Or sometimes the bugs prefer one victim over the other. So the dermatologist decided to take a skin biopsy to determine the cause. Now I have a hole and a stitch in my leg. It's 3 days later and I *think* it might be infected! And I've followed the aftercare instructions to the letter. I just do NOT do well with skin issues. Tomorrow at least I have an appointment with M, my long time doc. I hope I'll get to the bottom of this SOON. Also, we did tear apart our bedroom and bought traps - not one bed bug to be found.
