wow...its been forever.
Well to fill everybody in I've been living in Helen for most of the summer. I've made some really amazing friends including Rusty, Christian, Victoria, Dean, Brandon, Mallory, and James. They have been an incredible bunch of people to spend my summer with.
I've also been spending as much time as possible with the people I care about before college. I leave August 13th and I get more and more excited every day. I'm going to Ikea tomorrow with Nancy to shop for stuff. I've gotten my roommates and they seem incredibly nice. Thank god for facebook because I've been able to see what two of them look like and read a little bit about them. My actual roommate though doesn't have one so I know nothing about her at all. I've also decided on a direction for my future. Its reassuring to finally have an idea of what you want to do with your life. Also this year I plan on spreading myself out. I want to do a lot of different things and not JUST theater. I plan on trying out for the softball team and going to a rush for a sorority.(sp?) I just want to meet lots and lots of new people.
I've bought three new books. A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess (my favorite book ever), The Wanting Seed by Anthony Burgess (started it but haven't finished it. It reminds me a lot of 1984 mixed with Clockwork) and Life of Pi (haven't started it yet but I've heard its incredibly good) I've really started to get into reading again. I love how a book can extract feelings from you that you are scared to show in your reality. I read Shout Down The Moon the other night and it made me cry. Movies very rarely make me cry but books get me almost everytime.
I've also purchased the 9th season of Friends. Which means I only have 1 season left before I've seen every episode including commentary. The day that happens will be an extremely sad day for me. I also bought the movies I Heart Huckabees (which I have yet to see) and Jumanji (I heart Robin Williams). I've also purchased the 1st season of Frasier. (A show from my childhood)
I've visited Stone Mountain about three times now and each time I go I wind up missing it a lot. Its life though. You can't always get what you wanna.
I'm excited about the show my school is doing next year. I want to be in Midsummer Night's Dream as a Fairy and in Once Upon A Mattress as either Winnifred or Queen Aggrivaine. Wish me luck. I'm also going to have to find a job when I am down in Columbus. Looots of money struggles for my family unfortunatly. I'm going to have to support myself AND pay my entire way through college. I'm ready to tackle it though.
Ok...this entry needs to end because it is incredibly too long. To wrap this up...men are shit. I find it out more and more as the days go by. Happy Birthday to Austin. He is like a brother to me and I love him even when he is being mean to me.
