As is the nature of this course i haven't had enough time to write any updates that much. i tried writing a post before about a funny run-in with todd Solondz again in new york (after meeting him two weeks before at the TIFF premiere of "Palindromes) when i had just mentioned to someone about how i really liked "Palindromes'...and there was another time i saw Lili taylor at starbucks..however I can't be bothered to write out the whole story again and it didn't post. i am doing well. i have a few friends in the city now. I have been going to this cool bar where they do open-mic, a place called sidewalk cafe in the East village, where apparently the whole Anti-folk scene started (i.e. Moldy Peaches, Jeffrey lewis, etc.) and this guy Dibs is a reallly nice guy and we get along pretty fine. I also saw Final fantasy and Ninja high school when they played in Brooklyn last Saturday. I ended up singing and dancing with NHS (perhaps as a replacement for an absentee Wolfgang who stayed in toronto to "be able to pay his rent".) and Owen (final fantasy) was mind blowing and further proved how much he is one of my favourite performers/artists as of late. i went to a brooklyn art gallery the next day with Matt Collins and Star (PS1), and then went to meet my friend (who had some weird contageous eye infection)for drinks with her long island roommate. I shot my first short film last friday and the footage looked shitty as it wasn't in focus (even tho when i was doing it it was in focus for the lens) so we'll see how i am able to edit this. talk later and don't shy away from slowmailing me as it is the preferred way to reach me right now. i miss toronto so keep it nice and toasty for my arrival come december. all the best with your lives. drop me a line to tell me how they're going. this course is really fast-paced i might just miss it.
