It's not good being back....

I had to take a PT test pretty much right when I got back here to Virginia. I hadn't done anything for about a month, didn't drink much water, didn't stretch, wore the wrong shoes, and didn't sleep much the night before. Talk about the odds being stacked against me.

My counter for the push ups and sit ups couldn't count straight to save her life, either. I specifically didn't stop on my push ups until I was over 42 reps that I heard her count. After I paused and resumed she started calling off 30, 31, 32 and I was about to stop and ask her what was up right then, but I just decided to keep going because pausing in the front-leaning-rest-position gets me tired (go figure on the name of it then). Because of her mis-count I only did 68, where I probably did over 78 correct push ups. She didn't count straight for the sit ups either: 30, 32, 33, 31, 35, 36, etc.... But, to my ear, she did eventually say just about all the numbers that she missed. I did 84 of those, which is a high for me.

The run I did horridably on. Because of all the factors I stated earlier (not to include bad counting) I was only ablt to run a 15:37 two miles, barely passing (15:54 is the cut-off for passing at 60 percent). If those factors weren't involved, I probably would have run a 13:00 or slightly less. I was pretty much the fastest runner in my company. So, that being said, my performence was depressing, especially since I threw up afterward -- I believe the second or third time that's ever happened to me.

Anyway, that is all. I just wanted to get that off my chest. I can contest the push ups but would have to retake the whole test in a few weeks, but I want to see how fast my run improves before I would say anything ... plus I don't care too much, anyway.

Love,
Zachary.
