I suppose I missed Green Day?
I noticed last weekend that our neighbors' bushes had started turning green. Nothing else around us had anything going on, which isn't surprising; those bushes tend to sprout earlier than anything else. I tend not to call Green Day until the trees around here get that green fuzzy look to them.
I did notice there's a flowering tree in bloom at the end of the block, and the other day I looked outside and noticed a tree on an adjacent street was a touch green. Hmm. But, really, close to our house? Nothing.
And then we drove to my aunt and uncle's house yesterday afternoon, and the route took us through some wooded areas, and there's a lot of green going on. I'm so confused, especially since I didn't recall anything on Tuesday...but then on Tuesday, I wasn't doing the driving (and kept turning around to talk to mom/my aunt in the back seat), and we'd also taken the expressway or driven in the dark. Ah. Okay.
There's still nothing going on on my block. But I can see green on the block behind us.
