And the swine flu comes to my town
Twenty-four hours ago, Illinois had no known or even suspected swine flu cases.
This morning, I turned on the news to find out a grammar school on Chicago's north side was closed due to possible swine flu issues.
Tonight, I came home from school to discover my local middle school, and the nearby military academy, are both closed until next week due to suspected swine flu issues.
GREAT. I'm half expecting to wake up in the morning to discover a bubble over my town.
Even better, I live next door to a middle schooler.
Forgive me if I don't shake anyone's hands for the next few days.
