In which I make you jealous that you're not in college

All of my education classes are chock-full of projects. I either have to observe a class or interview a teacher, or else I have to make up test questions for the midterm, or else I have to create a lesson and teach it to my classes. That's a lot for one class, but I have three classes like this. Luckily, at least, I only have to do two of the three for each, not all three of them. Anyway, the lesson plan days are interesting because I get to see my classmates' teaching styles, and since we're all teaching different ages and subjects, we get to see a variety of ideas. In today's class, the first of two presenters did a 2nd-grade lesson on zoos and animals, and she had us do an art project: Make an animal mask. She had four different masks to make--monkeys, lions, elephants, and bears. I did an elephant. I wanted to do a giraffe, but that wasn't a choice. You have never seen college students more excited about paper plates and paint stirrers, let me tell you. And crayons. Though the people behind me had colored pencils, and I think others had markers. Also, one guy's mask was glittery, which made me jealous. I like sparkles.
