Second day of school and more on how I'm doing

Health
As my school day wore on yesterday, I started feeling better. Once I had a little food, that really helped a lot. But after I got home, I started going downhill again--nauseous, and the diarrhea came back. Goody. I still hadn't had anything to eat, between having no appetite and worrying about putting anything in my system, but as time went on I knew I had to have something. Also, I kept shivering. This reminded me of Eric, the counselor who nearly drowned at camp a couple years ago. He vomited up a lot of lake water, plus who knows what else, and that dehydrated him so badly that he was shaking violently by the time we took him to the hospital. Remembering that, I knew I had to have more liquids, and probably some food. All I could handle were tiny bits of bread, nibbled slowly. Saying I ate a sixteenth of a slice a bread is probably generous, but it was something. Also, by then I had a fever, up to 100.2F, so between that and my achyness I needed to take something, so I had some ibuprofen and that helped. I slept for about six hours but awoke around 3. I was very thirsty and took gulps of water whenever I woke up. When I got up for good, around 7:45, I wasn't feeling great, but at least I had a few hours before I had to leave. I think I had some juice and water and finished off the piece of bread from yesterday, then showered. I knew I'd have to have food in order to function, so mom found some plain oats and I made a half-serving of oatmeal, which I still didn't eat completely but it was enough. I finished the bowl when I got home and added half a banana, so I'm feeling more alert. I'll probably grab some dinner in a little bit.

School
Today was strictly an education day. The same person who teaches clinicals teaches the intro class, and the ed psych person has a similar background. Both seem like they'll be good. Even better, they're in the same building, so even though these are my only back-to-back classes, I will be hard-pressed to be late for the second. I also noticed the same people in some of these classes, so that's good. I'm not alone. :) And I was reassured that the clinical/intro teacher was very good, and it was a good thing I was taking those classes together. They seem a little overwhelming, but apparently once I get into it they'll be okay.
