Red light means red light!

I checked the mail a few minutes ago and discovered, in addition to mom's missing Us Weekly--she just started a subscription to it a few weeks ago--there was something for my dad with the ominous words Red Light Enforcement or something similar on it. Oh, noes. Heh. Somebody's in trouble! I knew someone who'd gotten caught by a red light camera in Chicago, so I knew that there was photographic proof. Let's see, where did dad get caught... Uh, well, it actually wasn't my father. The license plate belonged to my *mom's* car. Oh, wow. So, one, that sucks that dad's name got put on it, 'cause now it goes on his record, not mom's. And two, well, somebody has some 'splainin' to do. And then I looked at the date--it was just this past Wednesday, where mom ended up working a 12-hour day. Wow, that was fast. And she's actually at work now since it's really busy there. She got caught while making a left, and I'm guessing she was on her way to the tollway, judging by the cross-streets. My mother is not known for being a good driver--up until a few years ago, she thought the person on the *left* had the right-of-way, for instance--so this doesn't surprise me too much. However, it's a $100 ticket. That's not fun. My parents aren't in the poor house, thankfully, but the holidays are coming and we just paid our car insurance for the year, so it's not as if they have a spare $100 to just give to a random suburb. Good job, mom.
