Okay, I finally broke down and did it...I sent benchilada my entry in the So You Don't Have To sweepstakes. Now, it's definitely not as out there as most of what he's gotten, but it's definitely odd, and definitely not what most people have in their pantries. We'll see if and when he gets any of it online.
Meanwhile, I went the post office to mail it overnight (yikes...but it did end up slightly cheaper than I expected). I've had to mail some stuff off for work, and I've seen this one worker a few times before; she was rather amused by the whole thing. Consider that I put "So I don't have to!" next to my name and made "Stomach of Wonder" Ben's middle name. Because it was going express mail, she had to put a big sticker on the box, but she placed it just so where the names weren't obscured. Cool.
Here's hoping it arrives okay. Temps are below freezing where I am, and I imagine they're not much warmer down near U of I, so I think we'll be okay. I'm just glad I finally--finally!--sent it off. It's only been, what, since the holidays that I've been planning this...
