365 Facts: #61 (Food--Ice Cream)

I don't know what it is, but I've always loved ice cream. It almost doesn't matter what flavor or what brand--I'll eat it. Really, the only kind of ice cream I'll shun...and not very hard...is chocolate. I much prefer my chocolate ice cream *with* something, like nuts or caramel (or, preferably, both).

I'm totally cool with plain ol' vanilla. It's the basic, base flavor. You can't go wrong with it, because you can add anything and everything to it. But, when my sweet tooth gets to pick something less ordinary, I'll go with anything involving candy. Moose tracks? Heath bar? Bring 'em on. That's not to say I won't indulge in something healthy, like a fruity ice cream, but I loves me that sugar rush. Plus, it's fun to come across a little nugget o'fun, like one of those little turtles or a chunk of cookie dough. Mmm. That's why it's fun to go to Cold Stone--you can pick and choose what you want to stick in there. Rarely is it bad. In fact, I've never had anything bad there; if I haven't finished something, it's because my stomach was full.

Okay, so I'm totally stupid here...now I want ice cream. Dammit, Lent!
This really was a bad time to do this whole food thing, wasn't it? But now you can see why I give a lot of foods up...because I like a lot of foods. And, no, you are not allowed to suggest I eat nothing but ripe bananas and cottage cheese. That will earn you a Red Forman (AKA a foot in your ass). Don't think I won't do it, either.

(And, yes, ice cream is a dairy product, meaning I shouldn't eat it anyway, but I do. I think, if I had to pick, I'd give up eating cheese forever and keep eating ice cream. Of course, I don't live in a horrible world that would make me pick and choose between those two things, so I still get to eat both care of my arsenal of Lactaid, Beano, and Mylanta Gas. Really. If you ever go out to eat with me and I have any sort of dairy product, there will be at least one point in time where I will take at least one of the above. I'm not big on pills and such, but sometimes sacrifices have to be made. Eating dairy and taking a supplement, well, that's a fair trade-off to me.)
