Speaking of someone else's house
Despite keeping his seat in the 14th Congressional District, Denny Hastert is out as Speaker of the House.
I am no longer represented by the third most powerful man in the country. Er, well, I won't be.
However, this also means that my town won't be deluged by protesters any more. Or, at least, not as many. And we won't be on the news when another scandal breaks. I suppose that is a good thing. Nancy Pelosi and the people of San Francisco will get to deal with that now.
Except the small-town attention whore in me will miss the press. Wah. Yes, I'll get over it eventually.
