A thought popped into my head yesterday that it's been a while since I've seen any cats trying to hang around the place. It was momentary, and I thought nothing more of it...until I started to go downstairs this morning and saw a large pile of fur on the porch through a sidelight. What? I get downstairs and discover a large cat resting by the tree. Um, kitty, not your house! Yes, it's another random critter for the Home for Wayward Animals. I tapped on the window hoping to scare it off, but instead the cat just turned and stared at me. It was a pretty kitty, with long gray fur and pale green eyes. It was pretty calm, too; it just laid there and looked at me. I ran upstairs to get my camera--the better to document you, my pretty--but since I was taking the pic through the window I had to hold down the flash (it pops up and down), and then the picture wouldn't take because of the lighting, so the cat, already annoyed by my being the paparazzi, started walking away. Okay, fine. I tried one last time to get a picture, this time by opening the door (as the cat was down the walk by then), but the cat took off across the driveway and was gone.
