What a whirlwind things have been for grandma. No wonder she's confused and asking my mom, am I moving?
Photos taken Wednesday.
Listing went up Friday.
Open house Sunday.
By Monday night, they'd received 4 offers from the 6 people who visited and accepted one--cash--that was $8K over asking.
Looks like the contract signing would be the week of January 6th.
Naturally, with my family involved, there were some quirks. Mom had gone there on Sunday to remove grandma from the premises with plans to take her to a restaurant or possibly the local mall. Grandma's neck had other plans as somehow she developed a stiff neck. What did they do? They sat in her car in the parking garage and mom ran and got them McDonald's. That wasn't awkward when people came down to check out the parking space and storage unit.
My uncle is in charge of moving and wanted to do the main move on Saturday the 4th. Mom reached out to the management company to put up the safety fabrics in the elevator. She got her answer yesterday--they don't allow moves on weekends or holidays. That's great. Sure, now she's following rules. So the date's tentatively revised to the 31st. I have to work until noon that day, so who knows, but the saga continues.
