With it being a holiday weekend, many people are off from their normal activities. That's not the case at my job, where I had to go into work, but we got visits from a couple of people associated with the back building--and their critters. First came our college girl and her dragon, who was cold from being out in her mesh backpack carrier. College girl came up and was talking to us in the front building for a bit, and I immediately grabbed up the dragon and held her, and the dragon immediately went for my sweater. I was assured that she wouldn't poop on me so I went, go for it, and let her rest on me for quite some time. When I did try to move her, she flailed her little claws as if to say, AAAACK IT'S COLD WHY DID YOU TAKE ME FROM WARMTH?!?!? Poor baby. But eventually her mom had to go visit the back building denizens and the dragon had to go back into her carrier. Sorry, dear.
Then, later, someone, I think my boss' son, mentioned that Puffy had come by. When I called over to the back building, our college boy helper--who was actually working for the day--said he'd seen her but didn't know where she'd gone off to. I had to go back there for something and saw her car, and saw BBC's car, but when I went in the building, they still weren't there. As I went back outside, that's when I spotted that her car windows were fogged up, and there appeared to be a person in the passenger seat... They were yakking in the car, and she got out to give me a hug, and then she opened her back door and out popped a poodle. Aw, it's good to see you. Weirdly enough, I'd come across something in the paper that paired Puffy's first name with BBC's nickname for her as someone's actual name, so when she came up front for a bit I got to show her that. It was random but amusing. We got to visit for a bit, and then she ended up doing a couple projects, which was so nice because she was really good at them. That was the main reason I was sad to see her go, because for technically only being an apprentice, she surpassed BBC on certain projects and those were her go-to things to tackle. Now, they're taking longer to get to in the first place, and it takes BBC multiple tries to get them good. Not ideal. So to have her up and do a couple things was really nice. She also ended up moving her car behind mine, which she said was to force me to say goodbye to her, heh. In reality, she had blocked someone in and that's where there was a space to park at the time.
Today was mainly slow, so it was nice to have those visits to see people and critters who are enjoyable to spend time with, so I'm thankful for them.
