It's been about a week since I hurt my foot. I've kept it wrapped as a precaution for most of this time, given that I do so much running around at work this time of year. For the most part, it hasn't really bothered me, then yesterday it kept feeling weird. I've been wearing gym shoes the last few days, thinking it would help, but my tan shoes seem to have exacerbated things yesterday. My foot kept cramping or otherwise feeling sore. At one point I had to go to the other building to grab something, and while back there it really felt funny, so that I ended up limping back. My boss saw me and apparently forgot what was going on--then again, it's not like he's around much--and when he was back by the office manager, I thought I heard the OM explain what was going on.
When I got home last night, I removed the tape. The bruising has improved a lot. There's a circle on the lower part of my toe, which could be where the tip hit it, but the purple coloring has faded a lot there. The base of my toe, where the larger part of the canister hit, that must have taken the brunt of it as it's still pretty purple, but it is a bit lighter. I'm going to try going unwrapped today since that might be making things worse, sometimes altering my walk, which is causing other issues. But it's not unusual for me to feel sore in my legs and lower back this time of year, so I'm not super concerned. I think it'll be okay, especially given that I have a three-day weekend coming up so I can rest everything and stretch a bit.
