I had an unusual day at work yesterday, but it starts over the weekend. I mentioned going through things in my bathroom. I found this hair stuff that mom gave me, this chocolate conditioning crème that I figured I would use up and get rid of it. Since Tuesday is a conditioner-only day, I tried it yesterday. It made my hair sort of fluffy, so I decided to wear it down. I also have lip gloss I'm trying to use up, including a chocolate one, so I wore that too.
About an hour into work, I started to feel weird. The smell of my hair and the lip gloss hadn't seemed worrisome; sometimes I can tell that right away. But I wasn't feeling well and had to sit down, and ultimately decided perhaps my hair had something to do with it. I went in the bathroom and wiped off the lip gloss, then took a pencil and used it as a hair stick to get the hair away from my face. I did feel better after that. It also led to about a 10-minute lesson in showing Puffy how to use a pencil to put up her hair.
So now I'm sitting on my stool, at my workstation, for much of the rest of the day. My workstation is more meant for standing, so if I'm close to it while sitting, I tend to sit in a less-than-ladylike fashion, with my legs at an angle. It's not at 180 degrees, but more than 90. And...that is bad for my hips, particularly my left one. I've known for years that I cannot stand while shifting my weight to one leg as it does the same thing. I've long felt I have extra-stretchy ligaments or something, and when I do that, it's like my hip pops out of its socket. This causes discomfort and makes it hard to walk. I realized this while I was still at work so I was able to sit more properly, but here it is the next morning and I'm still sore. Ugh. Today's going to be fun.
