I have a little over an hour before I have to be at the judicial center. I plan on leaving at 7:30. I decided to get up at 5:30 just to make sure I could do my normal morning things (like this), since I don't know what the day will bring and I still have band tonight...I hope. I did email my section leader, who suggested I email the directors, so I did that.
I also went and re-read both my physical summons as well as the website, since they had different information. There was also a link to YouTube for the juror informational video, so I watched that as well. Famously, Lester Holt had hosted the older video, done back when he was an anchor in Chicago. I feel like he was on the video I watched the first time I had jury duty. It's since been redone with Lisa Parker from Channel 5, and it has its tongue firmly in cheek at times. I have reading materials and I'm bringing a lunch, so I feel like I should be set. Hope all goes well; I did not sleep well last night, so getting up at 5:30 wasn't that terrible--especially since the time change was only a week ago, so as of two weeks ago I was already getting up at that time.
