Not a great health week

There have been less than ideal conditions around me for the past week that have contributed to me not feeling great. One I did to myself; the other two couldn't be helped.

The first is from last week, following the whole work breakfast thing. I may have overindulged in leftover bagels. I probably had the equivalent of one and a half bagels each day for a few days there, but when you're not used to eating them, they can wreak havoc on your system. I was extra inflamed for a few days there, especially at night. My gut has not been appreciative, either, as things have not been terribly regular this week.

The second happened Wednesday, shortly before I left for the day. I had to go to the other building to check on something, and while walking over there a gust of wind happened to blow up a bunch of dust and sand into my face. There's a concrete business nearby and I noticed my windshield was coated with concrete dust when I left. Wow, did I feel bad on my way home. My lungs felt like they did when the air quality was so bad earlier in the summer. I honestly looked up the two air quality websites I've saved to see if there were particulates in the air. While they're not at zero, they're in the normal range. So...just me then.

Then yesterday, my boss returned from client visits and brought back a ton of stuff, including something that must have been residing at a smoking household. He'd returned shortly before I left for band, so I didn't deal with it yesterday, but when I got in this morning and this awful smell was permeating my area, I had to deal with everything pretty quickly just to get away from it. Luckily the offending item was moved along early on, but it reeked so badly that it gave me a headache that has been hanging around the whole day. The initial storage shelves for returned items are located by the back door, so I caught a whiff of it upon leaving, and ever since then my head has not been happy. I may well go to bed early just to try to sleep it off.

I'm just glad it's the weekend. While I have a few things I need to get done, I know I don't have Fancy Band music hanging over my head, which is really nice. I'll go into that in the next few days, but we've ended the first cycle and the music coming up should be much simpler, phew. Knowing I won't have to practice so hard is really lifting my spirits.
