Last month,
my town's fireworks got canceled after the Fourth of July show technically had started, due to technical difficulties. Naturally, they had to try to make it up, and tonight was that night. We had other stuff going on, so nobody was really up for going and doing the whole thing again, but my parents and I ended up standing out on the driveway to watch what we could. There was just the right space between the neighbors' trees that we were able to see somewhat decently, actually. We didn't hear any music, which disappointed my parents--they told me they can usually hear *something*, even if it's faint, but there was nothing tonight. I mean, it looked like any other plain old fireworks show, but it was fine. It did last the full half-hour, so that was good, and because it gets darker earlier now, the show started at 9, not 9:30. Honestly, the only bummer to me was that there wasn't a big boomer that filled the sky at the very end, but this was a new company and it was their first show for us. We're just glad they were able to pull it off this time around.
