It's been a while since I gave an update on Warrenville.
--The brick façade is now going up on Warrenville Horizons. There are two kinds of bricks being used so far, red brick and more of a gray stone style. I get kind of fascinated by this, to be honest with you; when I get caught at the light, I find myself staring at the building. I can't see any of the workers actually working, but I see the piles of bricks and where they're at with their progress. By the way, I feel like I said they were starting on the fourth floor the last time I gave an update, but it was just the roof. It stopped at three floors.
--Yesterday, there was some sort of tree trimming going on at the curve on Batavia Road, and there was a detour set up. I've never driven in that neighborhood that I recall, so it was nice to see a little more of what's there. Also, because of the curve in the road, all it took was two streets and I was back on Batavia. It was almost a little disorienting, actually, but super simple and good to know if something should happen in the future.
--Finally, remember the little white house that was for sale last year, the one that a part of me would've bought if I'd had the money? The people who bought it make me happy. They keep decorating it super cute for holidays. Right now, for Easter, there are pastel eggs hanging on the bushes in front of the house. It had lights on for Christmas, and there are two deer statues in front of the house that also play along. It makes me smile to drive past, and I'm happy these people got this house.
