Wii are balanced

This morning, one of my Wii post-weigh-in exercises was the one-legged balance. You stand on the balance board on one foot for 30 seconds and it measures how much you move. I actually do pretty well with this exercise, routinely getting 97%. Today, though, I got a 99%. I think that's the highest I've ever gotten. It didn't seem like that remarkable of a balancing job, truthfully, though I did notice a number of seconds go by where I didn't move. (I feel I should note that I'm not entirely on one leg. My right foot counterbalances me--it's off to the side and I'm balanced on my big toe. The Wii does say to have someone or something help you out as necessary; this helps.)

What makes this all the more impressive is that this is the ankle I hurt back in January. I actually couldn't do the exercise on it for a while. My left side does seem more stable overall than my right side, so it is the foot I normally choose for such things; but my ankle was so sore after I slipped on the driveway that it took a while to build it back up again. I spent a decent amount of time doing the slow, beginner step exercise because I figured that was gentle enough that I could handle it. It's now back to normal, has been for a little bit, but that was quite the pleasant surprise this morning. I almost got a picture of it, truthfully. I don't know that I'll ever score 100%, but to hit 99%? Pretty amazing. I think I've only ever gotten as high as 98% so this was a big deal first thing this morning.
