The calm before the wedding
We have a few hours before we leave. I'm hoping all goes well, grandma has no driving mishaps, that we have fun, etc. I think I have everything packed, but it's impressive what one needs just for an overnight trip. I remembered underwear for tomorrow. I mean, I had pulled a few things already and put them on my garment bag, the only piece of luggage I'm bringing, but neglected that. Plus a top to wear tonight. So, that's been remedied and I think I'm good.
I am also very thankful my cousin and his soon-to-be wife did not choose a destination wedding. My uncle's family likes to go to Florida. With Hurricane Dorian now at a category 5, that would not bode well. Here, we have clouds and it rained overnight, but I think we'll be fine. If not, it won't be the first wedding I've been to where it rained; everyone lived.
