Did I make it through the week?

I have made it through the week.

Wednesday, I already wrote up, which is good because I don't remember much about it. :P Yesterday, I got dizzy after lunch and stayed that way for several hours, to the point were I took off work slightly early because it was just too much. I do occasionally get vertigo, but it's short-lived; I don't know if this was sickness-related or an extended bout of vertigo. Strange, regardless. The weather was crappy too, so I spent the time between work and band in the break room at work. I ended up getting a paper towel wet and would press that to my forehead every so often, and that actually seemed to help. Band was mostly okay, though toward the end the dizziness came back. I also kept my water by me during the concert, which is unusual unless it's really hot out (which it was not), but I was happy to have it. I might have had some moments on the way home where I felt off, but I made it okay.

Today, I had some dizzy moments when I first got up, but by the afternoon I was feeling pretty okay, the best I'd felt in days. I wasn't dizzy, I felt clear-headed, and I was in a good mood. TGIF. When I got home, I was hungry, which was pretty normal. I've been sticking to dry Chex for breakfast and PB&J for other meals, plus either the prepackaged peaches or an apple, but I've been thinking of the mini-meatloaf that's been in the fridge since Tuesday and had that when I got home. Dad also made onion rings at one point--no wonder it smells like meat and onions in the house--and I ate those as well. I still haven't had dairy yet since Monday, but maybe tomorrow. (Friday is normally pizza night, and I made that for dad, but I skipped it.) I had a few other things and then decided, you know, I've not eaten *that* much in days; I should probably cool it. I also had two glasses of adjusted lemonade--I figured there was enough sugar in it to mimic the rehydration drink, so I added a little salt as well to the lemonade mix I used. I'm mostly okay but my back has been sore, and I'm concerned it's my kidneys, so I want to make sure I'm hydrated and things are balanced. Also, since I spent much of Tuesday on my left side, my left shoulder was sore Wednesday and Thursday. I made sure to sleep with it supported, and today it feels better. However, I have felt a little dizzy since I've been home, and I'm really grateful I don't have to go into the city this weekend. Finally, a weekend where I can relax and decompress a little. I'll probably have to spend some time in the yard, and it's going to be hot tomorrow, but it's meditative and it'll be good for me.

dizzy, work, sickness
