Quiet weekend
I am SO looking forward to a quiet weekend around here. We are getting to the busy time at work, and nearly every day this week (save for Tuesday), I stayed later than the previous day. A situation came up today where I didn't leave until nearly four. Two of my coworkers took pity on me and gave me some granola bars, since I'm typically not scheduled to have a lunch and therefore didn't bring one. Normally I'd have an emergency bar on me, except I ate it the other day and didn't replace it. I was really grateful, because I was starting to see double toward the end there. And, to top it off, some dude came by carrying a pizza box and jokingly went, I brought you pizza! It was about 3 PM by that time and I totally would have taken it, no questions asked. Alas, he was a salesman, going around to the area businesses looking for people to advertise on the pizza box, essentially. You are so mean. I could really go for pizza.
We totally had pizza for dinner tonight, so at least I wasn't completely deprived. And I was so happy when I eventually got home. It's been a long week. They're only going to get longer.
