Well....

Dec 18, 2005 10:50

It has been a while since I updated this so I don't know where to begin...

I guess I will just start with my weekend...on Friday night I had no definite plans and this is what ended up happening...

During lunch on Friday I decided to go see Daniella Cotton at the World Cafe Live. It is great to work 2 blocks from there and just hop over for a concert during lunch, like every Friday. She totally rocked. It is not everyday you see a petite woman belt out frickin' Back in Black by ACDC.

Mel called during lunch on Friday and we decided to meet for coffee after work. After work on Friday I met her at Bucks County Coffee in University City. She has now begun to teach me some Chinese. It was a lot of fun actually. Mel and I met at Starbucks and I was crocheting and she had asked about it and I told her I would teach her. So we met and learned more about each other and then she wanted to learn about tarot cards. So I guess it was just kindred spirits on a random meeting. It has been fun hanging out with her.

I also got a call from my friend Mike who wanted to meet up for a beer cause he was in Ardmore. It was just weird cause my horoscope said something like my friends would want to spend time with me in the evening and this random stuff happens. Well, I'd have to see him another time cause my friend Ed decided to get people together for a happy hour.

I convinced Mel to go with me to meet Ed, who I have not seen in like 7 or 8 years. Ed had found me on myspace. So I met him and his friends at Plough and the Stars. It was fun and I read two of the guys tarot cards. They were all very nice, so it was good. And then they tried to convince us to come with them to South Street cause they were dressing up in Santa outfits and going around with a bunch of other Santas. Well, Mel and I decided to leave, but I did get a cute picture of the guys in their Santa outfits.

Jackie had also called me earlier in the evening and wanted me to go to W.C. Murphy's in Manoa for Jeff and Patrick's birthday. So I decided to catch the train home and drive over there to see them. It is still kinda a strange situation, since I met them through a guy I dated for like 2 months, but they are just such cool people. Jeff and Partick were so excited when they saw Smokin' Joe Frazier at the bar. I took their picture with him and I think it totally made their night...not the picture, just meeting him really. It is fun hanging out with them, even if the places they want to hang out don't have the best music. I think Daft Punk should be in all DJs collections, but maybe that's just me. And I just can't seem to find a DJ who has it in the places they pick to hang out.

(Wow, I just realized that most of you do not know any of the people who I have just posted about. That's just pretty weird. I guess I meet people pretty easily.)

Now Sat....

I went shopping with Jane and we were able to accomplish a great feat. Get presents for 10 people with $100 in two hours. Yes, we did it. I was very proud of us. It felt good. Now we have to figure out when to wrap them.

Then I had to take a picture in New Hope, so I was driving for a couple hours for a 20 minute photo shoot. The guys were really nice and wanted to give me food or drink, but I just went on my merry way. I would like to eat there someday though. It looked quite nice, it would definitely be a date place, but someone who was open-minded enough not to mind seeing other lifestyles. Yeah, I think I was the only woman there when I was taking the picture. But I don't really mind that at all. When I was driving home I saw a very beautiful sunset and I contemplated many times about stopping or trying to take a picture while driving, but I decided against it and just daydreamed about finding someone to watch a sunset with someday. I was thinking beach at the time, but I think I would be happy with wherever.

Then I got some Chex and wine and got ready for the arrival of Thea, Kate and Patti for our little splurge girls night. Of course, Chris was hosting the evening too. :) Chocolate, Wine, Vinny T's and Chex Mix. Thea brought over some cupcakes too. We were going to watch a movie, but the wine made us sleepy, except for Patti who was doing interpretative dance for us and making us laugh all night. She is so funny.

Patti and I then went to see Monty Python and the Holy Grail at the Bryn Mawr theater. It was good, but I was very sleepy. Thanks to Clif for the hook-up of entrance fee and bottled water!

Who knows what today will bring...
