[The device flickers on to show the bathroom. There's a bathtub full of bubbles, a half glass of wine sitting on the edge of the tub and lit candles are scattered about. However, there's no sign of anyone in the bathroom or the tub. From the way the candles are guttering it's clear that they've been lit for a while. ]

What's got you all worked up?

I went home for a bit and the Doctor was bein'...himself. [She assumes Amy knows how he can get.] Always thinks he knows what's best for you.

[waitedforyears]

Yeah, he does that.

[iam_thebadwolf]

Well I'm not standin' for it. It's my life and my decision and my choices. He doesn't have to live with the choices he makes. I do so I'm givin' him a good chewin' out and makin' him promise it won't happen. He likes to go on 'bout things that can't be changed and he's full of it.

He's kind of good at that, isn't he, making decisions for other people an' thinking he has all the answers.

[iam_thebadwolf]

Guess he did that with you a time or two, yeah?

[She takes a deep breath.] With me, he never had to deal with the consequences of it. This times different I guess. I came back.

[waitedforyears]

He almost threw me out once because I did something he thought I shouldn't have, even though I was right.

How come? [ The not having to deal bit. ]

[iam_thebadwolf]

He had a clone that needed rehabilitatin'. Thought I was the right person for the job?

[Oh well the not having to deal bit] 'Cause it was a parallel dimension. It was sealed off with the only crack closin' up fast.

[waitedforyears]

He left you in a parallel dimension?

[iam_thebadwolf]

Yeah. To take care of his clone.

[waitedforyears]

If the Doctor had a clone shouldn't the clone be able to take care of himself, too. As well as the Doctor, at least?

[iam_thebadwolf]

Not that sorta taking care of [She pauses because she has no idea how much Amy knows about the time war and scary doctors. She doesn't want to share any stories that are the Doctor's to tell.]

His clone was sorta...more like the Doctor when I met him: Lonely, havin' a hard time rememberin' he's the good guy in the story. He...needed me to remind the clone of that.

[waitedforyears]

[ Insert a non-commital sound here. Amy knows about the time war and about what the Doctor did, but she never experienced the Doctor in the aftermaths. ]

An' how was that? [ Looking after the clone. ]

[iam_thebadwolf]

Don't know. Wasn't there with him long 'fore I got pulled here. [And she hasn't worked out really how it would be except that 'not the Doctor']

[waitedforyears]

Ah. Least he's here now, yeah? [ At least the one you know. He's not quite the man Amy calls her best friend, especially not with Rose here. ]

[iam_thebadwolf]

Yeah. Sorta mucks about with perceptions of the City. [As in Rose thinks it's more brilliant than before even. Rose understands that in a way. Though if she knew how Amy felt, she might do what she could to foster the relationship between this Doctor and Amy. The more close relationships the Doctor has and the more people he has in his life to care about, the better off the Doctor is. In all honesty, Rose really does want what's best for the Doctor.]
