I don't know if I've mentioned this before, but I'm going to because it's my journal and I can do what I want, ha ha ha :)
I have been having a great time over the past year reading updates on my friends who have also grown their wings and moved far away from Temecula (mainly Athena, in Oregon and Kristin, in Georgia). There is something about consistent and frequent journaling that makes me feel like I'm on the journey with them. It is uncanny how the moving-on of all 3 of us began within the span of maybe 4 months, so it's very interesting to me to look at where my peers are at approximately the same point of the journey as me.
It is comforting and encouraging to read about their struggles and successes as far as living on their own, it contextualizes my frustrations and makes them easier to deal with because I know that everyone deals with the same thing.
I admit, my updates are few and far between and mostly it's me taking in their updates (online that is, by snail mail it's a little more equal), but I hope they both know that I'm here to commiserate and support them :)
